About Us
How does a professional comedy writer for TV series on FOX, NBC and Disney combine her passion for road cycling and mountain biking into a way to make a living? By writing a sitcom about bikes! Well, that’s one way. Another is by launching QuipsyLA, a brand that creates funny cycling slogan t-shirts that'll make you smile!
What makes QuipsyLA t-shirts infinitely better than other t-shirt brands with a simple bike graphic is that our slogans are created BY cyclists FOR cyclists, so our “witticisms” are for those who will get the inside joke. After all, it’s common knowledge that cyclists are smarter and cooler than the general population. We work-shopped, “I (heart) N +1” and “Local Legend” among our cyclist friends and they all laughed saying, “That’s good!” Then we demanded, “Buy that tee NOW!”
Our t-shirts come in both unisex and slim-fitting feminine styles and are premium quality - they’re Bella + Canvas, 100% cotton, soft and comfy. They’re priced at an affordable point that is similar to what other quality t-shirts sell for. Sharon, being a road cyclist and mountain biker, is no stranger to the cycling community in Los Angeles. She volunteers for two cycling non-profit organizations in positions with massive responsibility, i.e., she does way more than show up on event day! Sharon has been on the board of Bicycle Angels for the past decade and has been Bike Director for the Los Angeles Firecracker Bike Ride during the Year of the Dog (2018) and Year of the Pig (2019). Why do we love bicycles so much? Riding a bike provides happiness and freedom, while also benefitting one’s mind and body. Win-win-win-win!
